Marin Instruments

Our story is simple. We started Marin Instruments to bring utility back to the tool watch. Regrettably, modern brands tend to emphasize aesthetics, and many watches on the market today are created without any consideration of how design effects function and function influences design. As users of tool watches, we understand it is essential that form follows function. Tool watches serve a multitude of purposes. They can time your decompressions while diving, calculate your speed in a car, and tell time in multiple locations around the world. They can also be used in everyday situations from cooking food to timing your lunch breaks. As these instruments are built to be multifunctional, it is imperative that they be legible, easy to use, andcomfortable to wear. To achieve this, we focus on three important principles when we create our products– purpose, design, and quality. THEY ARE BUILT FOR THE JOURNEY
SKINDIVER STANDARD
The Standard Skin-Diver OS (orange seconds). The pop of orange on the seconds hand gives a sporty vibe to this 200m dive watch. These aren’t limited but we only have a small quantity at the moment. The watch comes in at 39mm wide, 48mm lug to lug, and 11.5mm thick. It features a fully lumed, 60 click, unidirectional stainless steel bezel that has been PVD coated. It has a flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The Skin-Diver is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 movement, a workhorse and standard movement for the industry. This watch comes on a 20mm Marin Rubber strap and an Orange 20mm ZuluMaratac Nato.
